Tips to Burn Wooden Wick Candles

Wooden wick candles can be a bit tricky when you light them for the first time. Often, I have been asked “why does it take longer for a wooden wick to ignite than cotton wicks”? Well, the reason being, these wicks are made of natural timber and can easily get affected by changes in weather. The best way to burn a wooden wick is to light the wick all the way across not just on one end. This helps the candle burn evenly. Allow the candle to burn until the wax melts out to all the edges of jar. This usually takes about 30-60 minutes. Keep the wick trimmed to between 1/8 and ¼ inch. ALWAYS trim the wick by gently running your finger across the top of it before the next burn. The burnt tip of wicks blocks the fragrances so its always good to clean the tip of the candle wick before the next burn…Thanks Deepa
